Before starting Email marketing one should first have an email list of its audience and should know how to create an email subscribers list. Once the email list is ready there are various things you can follow up simultaneously in order to interact with your audience.

  • Engage at least once a week rather than spamming them daily with emails.
  • Send personalized emails using simple and casual text.
  • Use lesser Images, videos and Graphics which will not land you up in the promotions tab ; rather use simple text and links. Send emails as if you are sending it to your friend.
  • Improve your click through rate of your emails via telling engaging stories and using multiple links in your email (not more than three).
  • Anchor text of your links should always be casual and not like the title of your webpage.

Examples of anchor text.

  • Whenever there is a new blog post on your website, always share on the web via your social media channels and emails.
  • Try to give a share button in your email and simultaneously avoid stuffing your emails with links, social media handles and share button. Use any two for higher deliverability.

Sending emails randomly has never helped anyone in the long run. This leaves us disappointed as well plus our deliverability rates go down. Gmail and Outlook has devised mechanisms where they give primary emphasis to the deliverability, Inbox, Open and Click rates. To avoid this problem one needs to send emails to those who really want emails and constantly scrub your email list at least once in two months.
